Activities of Ad Litem:

Ad Litem specify, order, install, maintain and supervise single user and networked computer systems for a variety of commercial and educational clients, including Solicitors, Tradesmen, Retailers and Schools. We work with Unix and Windows platforms and with commercially available and bespoke business, portfolio management, bookkeeping and accounting software.

Activities of Mr C Vogler:

I am a Chartered Physicist and Member of the Institute of Physics. I am listed (under ad Litem) as a checked expert on computer systems in the Expert Witness Directory (formerly, the Law Society Directory of Expert Witnesses). This register operates vetting procedures to ensure that persons registered are suitably qualified and experienced. Between 1990 and 1996, I have published about 40 articles on technical aspects of computing in a variety of computing magazines. As technical partner in ad Litem, Computer Consultants, I specify and supply computer systems for clients, maintain and administer their systems and configure and write software applications to clients’ requirements. I have written and sold “Premier”, an Access based database management package for tradesmen.
When I have given evidence as an Expert Witness in cases involving computers, I have several times been commended by the judge: The judge at Birmingham Crown Court said: “That is the clearest explanation of computer evidence I have ever heard and I hope you always appear in my [computer] cases”. At Salisbury Crown Court, the judge said: “I liked the way Mr Vogler put it …”
